Maya is a dynamic presenter on prevention and treatment, systems
and services for addicted women, including domestic violence (victims
& batterers), sexual assault, criminal justice, child welfare,
pregnancy, parenting, stigma, brief and motivational therapy techniques.
Maya has numerous training of trainers, including the Women's Training
Manual that she co-developed. She is also on a team of master trainers
in Illinois that conduct training of trainers twice a year, with
a mentoring component for upcoming trainers. Maya participated in
the development of a Substance Abuse Best Practices Manual and conducts
training of trainers for Case Managers in the Dept of Human Services
offices in Illinois, and presents the manual to case managers for
the Department on Aging Case Managers and the Office of Rehabilitation
Services. She trains Real Choice Systems Change professionals dealing
with complex, multi-system cases.
